PTC Punjabi is launching another PTC Box Office this Friday at 8:30 pm. Titled ‘Maat’ is a story where characters are unmasked and relations collapse. The story revolves around the fact that how materialistic the relationships have become today and people no more value emotions much. People today have become more calculative and believe that if only they had more money, life would be easier and their relationship will improve. But this might not be the case with many.

Now, why you should watch ‘Maat’? What makes this movie worth watching? Well! Here are a few reasons why you can’t skip watching ‘Maat’.
1. Jasraj Singh Bhatti, the International Award Winning Filmmaker and Actor, is the main person behind ‘Maat’. He has not only penned down its story but has also directed the movie himself. Jasraj Singh Bhatti is the son of India’s most well known social satirist and Padma Bhushan Awardee ‘Jaspal Bhatti’. His movies have been selected at over 30 top film festivals of the world. Recently, his movie “A Story of A Story” won prestigious International Award in USA. He has also represented India at the cultural Olympics in South Korea.
2. Punjabi film ‘Maat’ is completely shot in the ‘Mad Arts Studio’ in Chandigarh, which is being managed by Jasraj Singh Bhatti only. Mad Arts studio is one of the top film schools in India founded by India’s top humorist ‘Jaspal Bhatti’
3. Now coming to the story line, which is the USP of ‘Maat’. The thought behind its story is kept simple as it’s a short story and the team was working on a restricted budget. According to the director “Jasraj Singh Bhatti”, one of the most difficult decisions he had to take during its making was related to the selection of actors. Finding right actors was a difficult and tiring process, as they wanted to keep everything unique from actors to its story.
4. A unique storyline and starcast also makes ‘Maat’ a must watch. In an exclusive interview with PTC Punjabi on phone, ‘Jasraj Bhatti’ said, “he wanted to give a unique visual treatment to this movie, something which has not been shown or done earlier. He wanted to create something which was never shown in the Punjabi Cinema before.”
5. Some new but popular faces could be seen in ‘Maat’. One of such face is of the good looking young sardar boy ‘Sahibnoor Singh’ from Dehradun, who is playing the leading actor in this Punjabi movie. Sahibnoor is a comedian who came into limelight through his YouTube channel in which he keeps on posting comedy videos for his fans. His mother is being played by “Deep Mandeep” and “Amrit Pal Singh” is playing the role of his father in the movie.
‘Maat’ complete star cast is new and fresh. Fresh cast artists are limited in Punjab and people are somewhere bored of watching those similar faces in every movie. So, the basic idea was to keep the starcast of this Punjabi movie fresh and unique.
