Alia Bhatt Takes on Executive Producer Role for Crime Series 'Poacher'

Alia Bhatt, the popular actor, is stepping into a new role as the executive producer for the upcoming crime series 'Poacher'. This exciting venture marks her continued journey into production following her debut with the 2022 Netflix India film 'Darlings'.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Alia shared, "Being part of this incredibly significant project is an honor, for both me and the entire team at Eternal Sunshine Productions. The impact of Poacher was deeply personal, and Richie's portrayal of the urgent issue of wildlife crime resonated strongly with me and the team."

She further commented on the storytelling, stating, "The storytelling genuinely moved me, especially knowing it's based on true events, that shed light on brutal crimes occurring in our forests. I am confident that Poacher will serve as an eye-opener, delivering a powerful message to be more compassionate and considerate towards all living beings."

About Poacher

'Poacher', created by Richie Mehta, known for his work on the acclaimed 'Delhi Crime' series, stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles. The series delves into the issue of ivory poaching in India, based on real events, and promises to merge the worlds of environmental conservation and entertainment.

Richie Mehta not only created 'Poacher' but also wrote and directed the series. It will be available in Malayalam, Hindi, and English, offering a wider audience the opportunity to engage with its impactful narrative.

'Poacher' is executive produced by QC Entertainment's Edward H. Hamm Jr., Raymond Mansfield, and Sean McKittrick, in collaboration with Suitable Pictures, Poor Man's Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 23, aiming to raise awareness about the critical issue of illegal poaching while entertaining audiences worldwide.
