Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards: Shah Rukh Khan Expresses Gratitude For Receiving 'Best Actor' After Years
Renowned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan received the prestigious Best Actor award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF) 2024. The accolade honored his remarkable performance in the movie "Jawan," directed by Atlee.
Expressing his gratitude in a heartfelt acceptance speech, Shah Rukh Khan shared his joy at receiving the Best Actor award after a long time. He humbly acknowledged the jury members for recognizing his work and expressed his initial disbelief at the possibility of winning again.
In his speech, Shah Rukh Khan extended his thanks to the director Atlee, co-stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, singer-songwriter Anirudh Ravichander, and the entire cast and crew of "Jawan" for their contributions. He emphasized the collective effort behind the success of any artistic endeavor.
Notably, Shah Rukh Khan personally presented the Best Actress award to his co-star Nayanthara for her outstanding performance in "Jawan."
Promising to continue entertaining audiences worldwide, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his dedication to his craft, pledging to work hard in various roles, including dancing, falling, flying, romancing, and portraying diverse characters.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan marked Shah Rukh Khan's second release of the year after Pathaan. The star-studded cast also featured Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Eijaz Khan, Leher Khan, Aaliya Qureshi, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Girija Oak, with Deepika Padukone making a special appearance.
Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan reportedly had a significant budget of Rs 300 crore, showcasing the grandeur and scale of the production.
