But recently Gangs of Wasseypur maker, Anurag Kashyap raised a big toast to Payal but tagged the whole 'congratulation' moment as a fake celebration. According to the filmmaker, Indians have this crooked tendency to take credit for someone else's win and that is innate.

During a recent conversation with a well-known media forum, Kashyap spoke on Payal Kapadia's achievement and said that India took the instance as their win but these films were all done independently without getting any support from anyone throughout the process of making, even governments don't support such movies, he strongly argues. In his own words, he said, "India just likes to take credit for a lot of things, they do not support these films, and they don’t even support these films to have a release in cinema." In fact he strongly believes that even if the film gets its theatrical release today, nobody will visit the theatres, hence emphasizing everyone to stop taking credit and put a dot with all the fake celebrations.
