PTC PUNJABI WEEKLY MOVIE REVIEW: GIPPY STEALS THE SHOW IN LUCKNOW CENTRAL

What would you choose; your freedom or living your dream? Kishan Girhotra who has been imprisoned for a crime that he never committed has a choice to make.

Prison break dramas aren’t very conventional subjects in Hindi Cinema which is why Lucknow Central feels fresh as well as uplifting despite some of the small loopholes that it carries.

The biggest strength of the movie is its ‘motivational feel good factor’ that remains with the viewer for a long time after he comes out of the theatre. Despite being overly dramatic in some parts, the director Ranjit Tiwari has been successful at making it look real and authentic. You will actually be able to feel the misfortune of the lead character Kishan Girhotra and his other jail inmates. The supporting cast of Diana Penty, Manav Vij, Deepak Dobriyal and Veerendra Saxena has been outstanding. Punjabi Superstar Gippy Grewal does a perfect job playing fierce Paali and complements the script with his great performance.

Overall, if you dig character based movies, Lucknow Central is just the right choice for you this weekend.

To all the Punjabi cinema lovers, watch it for Paali. You have never seen Gippy Grewal play such role before.
