Next Showing At PTC Box Office: ‘Daairay’ – In Search Of Self Recognition

Movie “Daairay” will be shown next at the PTC Box Office on Friday, October 19 at 8.00 PM. “Daairay” will showcase a story of a girl who wants to live life of her own choice. The film’s story revolves around a character Gurinder, who is an independent girl.

Gurinder is different from other girls. She wants to live life in her own way. She is deeply in love with a poet named Pratap and she decides to marry him. She will urge her parents to meet Pratap once. They would agree. But, when they will meet Pratap, they would be left in shock.

Pratap is not only a jobless guy, but he is physically challenged as well.

Gurinder’s parents would show their resentment against her decision and ridicule Pratap in front of their daughter. Gurinder, however, sticks to her stand and ultimately marries Pratap and they will start to lead a good life.

As Pratap is not normal like other people, he is carrying a lot of complex and insecurities deep inside his heart. Pratap’s friend Harsh uses to visit their home often and Gurinder treats him very nicely, as he is Pratap’s close friend. This will raise some doubts in Pratap’s mind and ultimately the differences will create in between them.

Finally, a point will come when Pratap will question her. After listening to it, Gurinder will burst out and speaks up her heart. She will raise a question that why a girl who lives with her intentions is always opposed by the society. She speaks up about breaking the cocoon in which a girl has to hide herself and kill all her wishes.
