Recently, the actor revealed that he has apologised to Guru Granth Sahib Ji as he failed to keep the promise. As per the reports the actor promised to not cut his hair before his ambitious film 'Battle of Saragarhi' gets released.
However, the film has been shelved as of now and no confirmation of the movie is made.
For the unversed, Akshay Kumar's big entertainer 'Kesari' was based on a similar concept that was released in 2019. 'Battle of Saragarhi' was the last battle that was fought before the Tirah Campaign between British rule and an Afghan group in 1897.
Earlier while talking about the movie, 'Battle of Saragarhi', Randeep Hooda stated that he was filled with gratitude to be a part of such a historical film that glorifies the deeds of 'Sikhs and Sikhism'. Further, he mentioned that he had given his 'blood and sweat' to the project, and even gave up his smoking habit. But it was heart-wrenching and disappointing for him when things didn't work in favor of the film.
In addition to it, Randeep Hooda said that even after bearing the losses he waited for three years for the movie just because he took a pledge at the Guru Granth Sahib.
Meanwhile, God has other plans for the actor as he was able to portray a 'Sikh' character in his recently released film 'CAT' which is now available on Netflix.
