Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty charged by NCB in drugs case
In a major development in the drugs case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday filed draft charges against actress Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother Showik Chakraborty among the others before a special court, PTI reported.
As per the report, the special public prosecutor Atul Sarpande said that the prosecution has maintained charges against all the accused as per the charge sheet filed before the court.

Meanwhile, the prosecution proposed the court charge Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty for consumption of narcotic substances and for procuring such substances for the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
It may be recalled that Sushant Singh Rajput had allegedly committed suicide on June 14, at his Mumbai residence. The prosecutor has also said that the court was scheduled to frame charges against all the accused in the drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

Reportedly, the court stated that the charges would be framed after the discharge pleas were decided.
Notably, all the accused, including Rhea and Showvik Chakraborty, were present before the court on Wednesday.

Special judge V G Raghuwanshi posted the matter for hearing on July 12. After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Rhea Chakraborty was accused of abetment to suicide and was even interrogated by CBI, ED, and NCB.
Also, she was jailed for over a month in 2020. Later, she was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
