Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film ‘Thappad’ is all set to release this Friday, on February 28. The film tells the story of an educated young girl who becomes victim to domestic violence. In the film, she is slapped by her husband and thence, begins a fight against domestic violence.

Taapsee Pannu has always been one of the amazing actors of the Hindi film industry. Having worked in films like ‘Pink’, ‘Badla’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, she is one of those actors who pick heart touching stories.

Anubhav Sinha directorial

The film marks the second collaboration of Taapsee Pannu and director Anubhav Sinha after the 2018 film ‘Mulk’. The film was shot in various places of Uttar Pradesh.

Early release

The film was initially planned for release on 6 March 2020, but later it was preponed by a week earlier i.e. to release on 28 February 2020.

Song

The film's songs are composed by Anurag Saikia and lyrics written by Shakeel Azmi. However, there is only one song, titled ‘Ek Tukda Dhoop’ in the playlist of ‘Thappad’ as of now.
