Wagah Border Recreated In Ludhiana for Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif Starrer ‘Bharat’

The makers of the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer film ‘Bharat’ will reportedly re-create Wagah Border like set in Ludhiana to shoot some important sequence of the film. According to the reports, the makers wanted to shoot some scenes of the film at Amritsar’s Wagah Border but they were denied permission due to security reason.

The makers have now decided to re-create a set similar to Wagah Border at Ludhiana area in Punjab.

According to a report published in DNA, “The film will span across seven decades and will also capture the evolution of India, along with its main leading character (played by Salman). The team had to film a few portions at the Wagah border, but it wasn’t feasible for security reasons.”

“So, for the Punjab leg of the shoot, the team has built a gigantic set. Producer Atul Agnihotri and Ali have envisioned the film in a certain way and they are making sure it looks like a visual extravaganza. They have recreated the Wagah border in Ludhiana where Salman and Katrina will be shooting for the next eight days, starting today,” the report added.

So, now, Salman and Katrina will be shooting in Ludhiana for the next few days at the replica of the Wagah Border for some scenes of the film

Besides Salman and Katrina, the film also features Tabu, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi.

Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bharat’ is slated to release on Eid next year.
