Punjab food Festival” was the only and exclusive food festival held in Amritsar, Punjab that showcased the best of International, Punjabi, and other Indian Delicacies. The Food Festival featured food from partnering country Pakistan and Iran while UP, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh's flavor was hard not to binge on. Punjab Food Festival Ep # 02:  Sunday  4th March at 11:30 am Tuesday 6th March at 02:00 pm ( R1) & 10:30 pm ( R2) The festival started at brunch time at 11:30 am and gates were open for people to enter and look for the different food stalls and arrangements. The main event started by 1:00 pm with the performance by local artists for about half an hour. The Chief Guest of the Food Festival inaugurated the event by lamp lighting and addressing the guests. Being a Punjabi, you surely don't want to miss out on the folk dance 'Gidha'. The breathtaking power packed performances by Mutiyars of Punjab gave a good start to the event. This performance was prepared by the ladies of Sangini Club, Amritsar. After the performances by Sangini Club, there was an interaction session with the celebrity chefs and the local chef from the Amritsar City. Dr. Pushpesh Pant gave a good talk to the audiences during which they interacted for 40 Mins. It was a overwhelming experience for the audience to hear about the food experiences from the chefs. Other celebrity chefs and the local chefs of the city including Chef Ajay Chopra, Hiral Aggarwal, Hossein Nazmi, Shamira Mapra and local chef Sunil Tikoo gave a food talk to the audiences. This session continued for 40 minutes, where all the chefs talked about the food and festival and expressed their excitement about the event. Now, the clock had stuck at 3:30 pm and it was time to relax. People spent their time by either rejuvenating themselves by the dance performances or making themselves comfortable by exploring the premises. publive-image It is 4 pm and it’s time for the second interaction session with Pushpesh Ji, Chef Ajay Chopra and Chef Hiral Aggarwal. At 4:45 pm Chef Ajay Chopra had a live cookery show with the members of Sangini Club.
There was a Sufi Band performance for half an hour that ended at 5:45 pm. Now, it was time for some more cooking. Chef Hiral Aggarwal hosted a cookery show that went from 5:45 pm to 6:15 pm. After 15 minutes break, the third talk session was held between Pushpesh Pant and Chef Shamira Mapra from Pakistan and Chef Neelu Ji.
The event ended with the main live performance that started at 7 pm. This performance was by none other than Manmohan Waris. His performance took the audiences to the other world of music. People must have definitely forgotten all their worries and felt relaxed. This was the whole full day of lot many things to be learned, food, fun, excitement, laughter and above all the finest experiences that people had gathered during the whole day. The day ended up on a good note to continue the other day.
