Finally the Kedarnath-Badrinath temple committee spoke on the indecent matters that has been encircling from few months. Now the devotees have been banned taking their mobile phones inside the temple premises. The matter had been embroiling from a long time now, but what has ignited the flames was a woman blogger who recently proposed her boyfriend in front of the temple and that has what forced the authority to bound devotees under such strict rules.

Official warning boards

The temple committee has now put up boards in all corners of the temple which warns people to not take such step which can harm temple sentiments. The placed board read "Do not enter the temple premises with mobile phones; any kind of photography and videography is strictly prohibited inside the temple and you are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras" in both Hindi and English language.

Devotees urge for strict action

Previously many other such instances had been noticed which includes numerous people visiting the holy place to just capture and create content but not to worship which was ultimately hurting the devotee's sentiments and violated the purity of the heavenly shrine. Many Instagram reels even went viral where people demanded for some strict action for such fellow travelers.

More rules to be followed

While taking this decision, Ajendra Ajay, the president of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee quoted "A religious space follows a set of belief system and the devotees should respect the same." That is not just it, the authoritative body also requested people to wear decent clothes and desist from setting up tents and camps in the temple premises. The installed boards also mentioned "legal action will be taken against those not following the orders."
